Customer Sales Support Representative

Job Description

This position is responsible for working with Sales, Operations, and Customers to ensure responsiveness and attention leading to high customer satisfaction.

The Customer Sales Support Representative will facilitate, act, initiate, and be responsive to internal sales team and customer requests.

This position will allow sales team members to spend more time building and developing additional opportunities to help grow the business.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Ability to manage self in a primarily remote setting.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Deliver outstanding support to customers regarding inquiries and issues related to sales, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Process and track customer orders, coordinating with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery and effective communication.
  • Customer concerns promptly, providing solutions and follow-ups to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to improve customer service processes and share valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Second point of contact for Pivotal customers
  • Verify current inventory levels for sales reps.
  • Check the status of POs for incoming part orders.
  • Verify status of ship dates for customer inquiries
  • Coordinate customer returns with engineering and operations.
  • Back up analyst for customer PO entry into financial/production system
  • Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of technical products to be sold
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • In-depth understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Hands on experience with CRM/Quoting software
  • Availability to travel occasionally.

Education and Experience:

  • Proven work experience in a similar role providing customer assistance, order management, problem resolution and team collaboration.
  • Solid experience working in sales and customer service.
  • College experience or degree is desired but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Prolonged periods of time talking on phone.
  • Occasional Travel to corporate headquarters for training, meetings, relationship building.
